Civil Tek - Technology for Infrastructure

Civil Tek develops Internet businesses and services that help design, maintain, and operate our national infrastructure. We employ the latest technology in cloud based services, data communications, and instrumentation engineering.

Who we are

Civil Tek is a private corporation, founded in 1993 and operating in Mobile, AL.  Civil Tek was started by Gary Howell, an electrical engineer, to support his development and business interests. Gary's  work at commercial, academic and federal government R&D laboratories helped form the company vision.

What we believe

We believe in people and technology.  Technology can improve the lives of all people.  Civil Engineering has the most potential to benefit the world population, but is slow  to integrate new technology.  Civil Tek focuses on the internet and cloud based services, today's transformational technology, to leverage the efforts of engineers and contractors.

We prefer to use and develop Free and Open Source Software.  Like scientific publications, it is essential to the peer review of the complex systems that impact the public.
